Nokia N95 and Nokia N98 - The Flowers of One Garden

Nokia's two new N series handsets - the Nokia N95 and Nokia N98 are loaded with a number of useful applications. While N95 has already been launched into the markets, the N98 is still a concept phone. Nokia says that N98 will soon be available in the markets round the globe. A brief description of the prominent features of these two wonderful devices is presented below.

The Nokia N95 is a quad band GSM/HSDPA camera phone that has a double slider opening mechanism. The handset has support for Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE Class 32 and GPRS Class 10 networks and it has a 40 x 53 mm, 16M colours TFT display that has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It has a 5 mega pixel camera which is equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens & a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The phone is also equipped with a secondary CIF video camera for receiving and making video calls

The handset comes with 160 MB of internal memory that can also be expanded further by using a swappable microSD memory card, if needed and the Nokia N95 runs on a Symbian 9.2 operating system. The device's WAP 2.0 internet browser shows internet pages in XHTML and HTML formats. The handset is loaded with a number of useful applications like a built in GPRS receiver, Stereo FM radio, Document Viewer and Push To Talk. The handset weighs 120 gm and its battery has a talk time of up to 6 hours & 30 minutes.

A variant of N95, titled Nokia N95 8GB is also available in the markets which is equipped with 8GB of internal memory, a built in hands free and a T9 text input application with a Stereo FM Radio and a 3.5 mm audio output jack. The handset uses a standard Li-ion 1200 mAh (BL-6F) battery that has a talk time of up to 6 hours. The Nokia N95 8GB is equipped with 2.8 inches, 16M colours TFT display that has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels which help the in built 5 mega pixel camera that shows images in brilliant colours. It's built in WAP 2.0 internet browser shows internet pages in XHTML and HTML formats.

On the other hand, Nokia N98 is a concept mobile phone which has not yet been released into the markets. The device is believed to be equipped with a 7.2 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens. The handset is expected to have a 3.5 inches, 16M colours VGA touchscreen display. The Nokia N98 is believed to be running on a Symbian S70 3rd Edition operating system. The device is reported to be equipped with a Graphics Accelerator and a built in Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. The handset is reported to be having support for Bluetooth, HSDPA and Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) connectivity.
